We are proud to be able to now offer you "The Chateau" Heron collections by Angel Strawbridge who was a real city girl at heart, well, she was a city girl.. Angel liked nothing more than to escape the busy streets of London’s East End to the peace and tranquillity of the French countryside which has proved to be a wonderful journey of discovery. Chateau de la Motte Husson hosts an amazing array of wildlife right on its doorstep. It’s her husband Dick Strawbridge who gives the children, and angel, a master-class every day on what we see out the windows.

Angel Strawbridge and the family ever so lucky to be surrounded by a gorgeous moat, not only is it peaceful and full of fish, but every morning a proud Heron perches on a rock and eats their fish. Angels daughter Dorothy has taken a real liking to our adopted Heron, often shouting at the top of her voice ‘The Heron. The Heron!’ It often flies off at this point, but we all run to the window to see it in flight! In Japanese culture, the bird represents a noble and graceful appearance and a sign of purity, which must be why Angel is so drawn to it.
